Dr. Grant Wakefield

Grant Wakefield studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Canterbury, and Chemical & Materials Engineering at Auckland University, where he gained his doctorate degree.

Dr. Wakefield has worked in a number of technical, sales and management positions in different companies within the chemicals and construction materials sectors, prior to joining the group in New Zealand in 1996. In 2000, Dr. Wakefield transferred with the company to Sydney, Australia to take up a role as National Sales Manager, managing a number of different business units across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

He has been the Managing Director and Country Representative of LANXESS Pty. Ltd. in Australia since 2006.

Dr. Wakefield is a competitive sailor, enjoys training in karate and has two grown sons.
